I ask the questions for which I am the answer to.

We all ask these questions. Why is there so much injustice in the world? Why is there poverty in the world? Why is there War?

The solution and the answer is right under our noses... its us. Its me and you. We are the solution, we just need to fix ourselves.

Saturday Night Hockey

So i played hockey today... i just got back... and i have a bruised toe... thats right my TOE!!!

anyways... i am putting ice on it... its not that bruised but it hurts like a you know what.

My parents went to Pakistan and they just got back this week. It was an interesting trip for them they were there for 3 weeks, what a drama...

I have a midterm tomorrow.... on Monday... and i have 2 assignments due... damn... this is tougher than i thought... this Presidency thing.

When my term finishes i will do a full spread on the insider news of the Students Unions... it is quite interesting the kind of stuff you do and learn.... until then... Peace out

The social change

Lets talk about the people who work for social change from an Islamic perspective. So you want to bring a change and i have seen many people who talk about working for this change. I have thought a lot about how can we bring change. Here is what i think.

1) The people who want to bring this change are first themselves not ready for this change. We have to start by educating ourselves. We have to start by building our character. We need to have values which are representative of the change we want to bring. For example how some people backbite about their brothers or sisters but talk about bringing a change to the Ummah....

Just want to blog

I have soo much i want to say. But i can't because my head is spinning... Its not that i am busy, its just that too much is in my head. Too many things going on at the same time and then my social life is just being eaten up by my work.

Anyways i have an assignment due 9 Am and a lab at 9 AM. This lab was today at 2 PM but as ussual i was in a meeting and was late for my lab so the TA was nice enough to let me make it up tomorrow. Now i just need to figure out how does a STUPID Amplifier WORK?

Arrogance

I have always enjoyed getting into a discussion among friends on the topic of religion. This topic is so fascinating and i try to do my best to present Islam, but fall short because, not of Islam but because of my own actions.

Many people go to fortune tellers to find out what there future holds for them... I am also a fortune teller (joking). No, i ain't no fortune teller but i can surely make one prediction that will be 100% true for Everyone, yes thats right i can tell you one thing and the MOST important thing in your life and i can also assure you that it is 100% true... and that is You WILL DIE!

So don't worry about acquiring wealth, fame or any other worldly thing. Think about your ultimate goal that we all forget, Death. There is nothing else in this life that is as certain as death.

You don't know if you will get that job you want. You don't know if you will marry that girl you want. You don't know if you will get the car you desire. Heck you don't even know if you will take the next breathe or not. But what you do KNOW is that ONE DAY THIS LIFE WILL END as you know it.

Then your eyes will open and you will see the reality. What if someone told you that they could tell you how to protect yourself and give you a guide to this world so that when you die you will not find a surprise but rather you will be prepared?

The choice is yours... don't look at the Muslims... they don't have the answer... Go to the Source The Quran.

Chapter 2: The Cow, Verse number 2-7

2. This is the Book; in it is guidance sure, without doubt, to those who fear Allah.

3. Who believe in the Unseen, are steadfast in prayer, and spend out of what We have provided for them;

4. And who believe in the Revelation sent to thee, and sent before thy time, and (in their hearts) have the assurance of the Hereafter.

5. They are on (true) guidance, from their Lord, and it is these who will prosper.

6. As to those who reject Faith, it is the same to them whether thou warn them or do not warn them; they will not believe.

7. Allah hath set a seal on their hearts and on their hearing, and on their eyes is a veil; great is the penalty they (incur).

So will you not open your eyes? Leave your arrogance behind and sincerely educate yourself before it is too late.

You know when your parents tell you something and you know that they are right but just to be rebellious you pretend you didn't hear them or you go against them. Well most people are like that when it comes to religion not because that they don't understand but because of human nature of ignorance and arrogance they will not follow the truth.
