Drive about 4 hours North of Toronto aprox 300 Km and you will reach Algonquin National Park. Go to a canoe rental shop. Get your canoe, paddles, tents and anything else you need. Drive to the access point... Park your car unload the canoes and your gear from the car. Park the canoe in the lake... load it with your gear and enter into the beauty of the wilderness... let the journey of a life time begin...
First you paddle your way to the end of your first lake. This could take you a wile depending on how big the lake is... Typically it takes us about an hour... once you reach the end you unload the canoe and take the canoe on your head and walk for about 700 m until you get to the next lake you put your canoe on the side and go back to pick up your gear... now u park the canoe and load it and go for another hour to cross this lake... Now you keep doing this until you get to the lake you want to... Once you are on your lake you find a nice camp site...
Dock your canoe... unload it... make sure you tie your canoe... better yet just bring it on land and put it upside down...
Set up your tents and you are ready for your weekend get away...
Now if you really want to have fun... you pack up all your gear the next morning and move to another lake...
I can't wait to be sitting on a rock by the lake looking at the stars...
